A resident at a Gibson City nursing home has died when they were allegedly given the wrong dosage of a blood thinner for 24 days.  WCIA in Champaign reports the Illinois Department of Health cited and fined Goldwater Care in Gibson city after an investigation found that not only was the wrong dosage administered, but when a doctor ordered the medication stopped for three days and restarted at a lower dosage, Goldwater failed to do so and never did the requested follow up blood tests.  The patient died from internal bleeding.  51 residents live at the Gibson City facility.  The tv station says Goldwater officials have yet to issue a statement on the story.
