The 2024 Crime Statistics are out for the City of Kankakee. Following Monday night’s Kankakee City Council meeting, City Police Chief Chris Kidwell said, in general, things are moving in the right direction
Chief Kidwell said law enforcement in the city has a lot of new technology to help them solve crime
Kidwell added a lot of the property crime in 2024 came from people not locking their car doors, and ended up being people just walking down the street trying car doors and taking what was inside.
