Manteno woman arrested for alleged abductions

Manteno Police report the arrest of a 47-year-old woman after she allegedly abducted four juvenile girls and held them against their will. The girls told Manteno Police they were at a park in Manteno about two yesterday afternoon when they were approached by a woman later identified as Anita Diaz who displayed and threatened them with a knife before forcing them into her car. Diaz allegedly took the girls to several places in Bourbonnais and Manteno before dropping them off at a Manteno park about five last night. Manteno Police say the girls were returned to their parents unharmed. Diaz was arrested by Manteno police for aggravated unlawful restraint.
