Jasper County Indiana Sheriff’s Police report a series of arrests following an investigation
into the alleged sexual assault of a minor. In a press release, Jasper County Deputies say the investigation into the allegations starts January 23rd when deputies were contacted by the Indiana Department of Family and Children regarding the alleges sexual assault of a seven-year-old. During the investigation the victim reportedly said 29-year-old Jorge Luis Hernandez Munoz of Fair Oaks and 26-year-old Melkin Joel Alvarenga of Fair Oaks had sexually assaulted the victim starting in 2024. Furthermore, the victim told police 32-year-old Mayra Lizet Erazo of Fair Oaks had been told of the assaults, but failed to report them. All three were arrested in late January. Both Munoz and Alvarenga have been charged with three counts of child molestation. Erazo has been charged with several counts, including assisting a criminal, and neglect of a dependent.
