Local libraries receive State grants

Several local libraries are among the 640 public libraries and 25-hundred school libraries state-wide that will be getting funds from the State. Among those receiving funds is Bourbonnais Elementary School District 53, the Bourbonnais Public Library, Bradley Elementary School District 61, BBCHS, Hersch School District number 2, the Kankakee Public Library, Kankakee School District 111, the Manhattan Elementary School District 114, Manhattan-Elwood Public Library District, Reed-Custer School District 255U, the Wilmington Public Library District and Wilmington School District 209U. The grants are meant to fund library investments in materials, technology, infrastructure improvements and security upgrades.
