It’s Hot

Extremely hot weather is hitting much of Illinois today.  The National Weather Service says temps could reach the triple digits with heat index values as high as 105-degrees.  A heat advisory is in effect for us starting at noon today and running through nine tonight. That heat advisory is set to go back into effect for us tomorrow at noon and run through nine tomorrow night as well.  Hot and humid weather could cause heat illnesses. Officials suggest you stay in air conditioned buildings as much as possible. Drink plenty of water and make sure you check on your neighbors and relatives. The high heat is especially a problem for the very young, the very old and those with pre-existing conditions.
