Kankakee Amtrak Waiting Room Upgrades

Plans are underway to spruce up the Amtrak waiting room inside the Kankakee Train Depot. City Council recently accepted a 40-thousand dollar construction bid from PSI for the project. Mayor Chris Curtis says it’s been many years since the waiting room was updated.

Mayor Curtis says the waiting room upgrades coincide with the one-million dollar renovations Amtrak is making to the outside of the train platform in Downtown Kankakee.
