This past weekend, SWV and Xscape went head to head in a much anticipated Mother's Day Weekend Verzuz Battle. The livestream began with battling sets between Atlanta's own DJ AOne and DJ Spinderella. Later, the ladies came out and opened the show with a prayer and told the crowd that it wasn't a battle, more like a celebration of Black girl groups from the 90s.

The ladies started playing their songs, kicking the show off with Xscape's “Is My Living in Vain” up against “Endow Me” by Coko featuring Faith Evans, Fantasia and Lil Mo. Up next, Xscape played “Feels So Good” against SWV feat. Missy Elliott‘s “Can We.”

Xscape went on to play hits like “What's Up,” “The Arms of The One Who Loves You,” “Just Kickin It,” “Tonight,” “My Little Secret,” “Understanding,” and “Do You Want To,” which featured LaTocha and Tiny bringing the house down with live vocals.

SWV played hits like “Downtown,” “You're Always On My Mind,” “Anything,” “Rain,” “I'm So Into You,” “Right Here,” and “Weak.”

Xscape bought out Jermaine Dupri and Da Brat as guests.
