Company C Deployment Ceremony Held Tuesday at ONU With the Governor

Some 500 soldiers from the Illinois National Guard are being sent for deployment in the Middle-East, Including Charlie Company’s First Battalion with the 178th Infantry Regiment based in Kankakee.   At a Deployment Ceremony held Tuesday afternoon at Olivet Nazarene University, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker assured those being deployed that while they are away, back home their families will be well taken care of.

Also on hand today was State Representative Jackie Hass.

Also attending today’s deployment ceremony was Kankakee Mayor Chris Curtis.

Also on hand today was Major General, Rodney Boyd, Adjutant General and Commander of the Illinois National Guard.  General Boyd urged his men to remember when their on deployment it a team effort.

Also  attending today’s deployment ceremonies was Kankakee Mayor Chris Curtis and State Rep Jackie Hass.
