It was standing room only last night for the Bourbonnais Village Board meeting. The large crowd was drawn by rumors that plans for a data center were to be discussed. After about an hour of public comment, where residents voiced concerns about noise, water, electricity, quality of life and the beauty of the Village, Bourbonnais Mayor Jeff Keast addressed some of the concerns

Mayor Keast went on to say the Village is looking at zoning ordinances to see how they can tighten where potential data centers could be placed, but added the power of the Village is limited under State law when it comes to siting those types of infrastructure projects.
