Crash on Rt. 113 Sends One Person to the Hospital

One person was taken to the hospital following a crash on Route 113 in the western part of the county Thursday. Illinois State Police say the crash happened in Limestone Township just after three yesterday afternoon and involved a semi and a passenger car. Troopers say one person had to be cut from their vehicle and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The eastbound lanes of Route 113 had to be shut down for almost three hours while the crash was investigated and cleaned up. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
